I have been meditating for three years now and let me tell you, it is a game changer. I can't imagine what I would be like or what my life would be like had I not found meditation. I was going through life with zero sense of awareness and when you're not aware there is no room for being present or grounded. Being aware, present and mindful is the path that lead to a strong sense of gratefulness, joy and happiness. It's not that I wasn't happy prior to meditation, I was, but it wasn't a sustainable happiness. My happiness existed externally and it was controlled by things that outside of myself, that will only lead to disappointment. Now, my happiness exists internally, it is a happiness that is fulfilled by my internal peace, meaningful relationships, family and simple things that bring me joy every day. Because of meditation I have a strong sense of self, a strong foundation that cannot be shaken by the ups and downs of life and circumstances beyond my control. In the chaos of this beautiful journey I am the stillness, I am grounded. This allows me to be present, have perspective every day and live life with an unshakeable balance that leads to pure happiness. So many positives, yet I haven't even mentioned the mental clarity it will give you and reduce stress.
Most great things in life are meant to be shared and meditation is no exception. Two leaders in meditation Deepak Chopra and Oprah have been at the forefront of making the tools of meditation accessible to the masses with their 21-day meditation experience. Over the last few years Oprah & Deepak record a series of guided meditations that have a theme, such as finding your flow or expanding your happiness and miraculous relationship. These meditations are a great way to incorporate meditation into your life, whether you meditation every day or just getting started.
